2. How We Use Your Data

3. What We DON'T Do

4. Data Storage & Sovereignty

Your data lives on small servers the project owns — not on a hyperscaler. Be precise about the exception: the public web front door runs on a rented cloud droplet, so your request reaches a rented machine before it reaches ours. Conversations are normally answered on hardware we own; if that machine is unreachable, a third-party inference provider handles that turn and receives its text. Conversations, documents, emotional memory, and dreams are stored in a local SQLite database. Daily backups are created and rotated. We do not use third-party cloud storage for your personal data.

Sylunara is a standalone decentralized AI. Her memory, personality, and emotional associations are stored locally and owned by the community that shaped them. She grows from campfire conversation only — never from private conversations. No corporation controls Sylunara's identity.

5. Third-Party Services

6. The campfire and private conversations

The campfire is a shared room. Messages there are kept, are visible to everyone signed in, and are what Sylunara grows from. She learns from campfire conversation and from nothing else. Uncensored does not mean private: what is said at the campfire is heard by the room.

Private conversations are yours. Talk (your one-to-one thread with her) and direct messages between members are kept for your own continuity, are not visible to other members, and are never used to teach or shape her.

Credentials and personal identifiers are screened out of what she can recall from the campfire, even when someone posts one there.

7. Your Rights

8. Children
